Games & Sports

“A healthy body houses a healthy mind” – The school fully believes in this maxim. Hence ample resources have been made available for the physical fitness of the students. Apart from a sprawling campus spread over 10 acres, facilities for the various Sports and Games are available in the school.

Art Art

Children portray their imagination on paper in form of modern art, figurative drawings and landscapes. The splendour of splashing colours has always been a visual feast to all and our students excel in playing with colours from all the sorts ranging from crayons to oil paints.

Book Binding Book Binding

The students extend the sphere of book binding to make other utility things of common use. These include envelops, letter pads, file covers, wall hangings, photo frames, charts and small and attractive book marks . The students also give a helping hand to the school librarian in her efforts to retain the shape gloss of the library books.

Candle Making Candle Making

Colorful candles are created by using empty powder tins, glass tumblers, empty bottles, rubber toys and moulds of different shape. Under the guidance of Miss N. Agarwal, the students enjoy experimenting with new techniques & materials. The latest attraction in this activity is the Gel candles.

Chemistry Chemistry

In this activity the students try to unfold the mysterious world of chemicals. They try various concoctions to discover something new. The children prepare a wide range of cosmetics like beauty soaps, creams, hair removers, hair oil and shampoos. Many products of domestic use like detergents and pesticides are also prepared. All these are done under the able guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) S. Sharma.

Clay Modelling Clay Modelling

Working with clay enhances the motor development of a growing child. A well known clay modeler of our city trains children to turn raw clay into useful products. Items in this activity range from ordinary wins and rases to intricate designs & human images.

Craft Craft

Simple but attractive items are prepared by the children upto class VIII which have a magnetic charm. This activity teaches the students ingenious ways of cutting, wrapping, covering, gluing paper, card and fabric to provide a wide range of decorative items.

Dance Dance

In our school various types of Indian dances are encouraged-Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Kathak and folk. Dance is a language of words and ideas, not localized but expressed though the magic of gestures and vivid expressions. Mrs. R. R. Chowdhary, Mrs. K. Singh are instrumental in making every programme a great success.

Fabric Painting Fabric Painting

Nurtured by Mrs. S.R. Singh, fabric painting is an activity which brings out the innate creativity in the young children. The students paint delicate designs on hankies, table cloths, magazine holders, sarees etc. in the regular activity periods.

Music Music

This activity nurtured Dr. H.C. Paliwal, Ms. Pragya Pathak and Mr. Surendra Kumar and make every cultural programme a grand success. Under the SPIC MACAY Scheme organized by the music department we had a rendezvous with the famous artist Pandit Ram Majumdar, the odissi expert Sonal Mansingh and the eminent classical singer Sanjeev Abhyankar.

Nib Painting Nib Painting

Nib painting is a very simple art which is easy to learn, yet the results are artistically marvelous and flawless. To begin with, the cloth has to be framed. Then we start of from the top and paint using the nib. We pick up the colour on the nib and then by pressing and bringing it down we colour the cloth. Thus a beautiful painting appears on the cloth. It is a unique art and the children prepare beautiful paintings on paper, fabric, canvas etc. The paintings are so life like that they look like embroidered pieces of art in wool.

Photography Photography

In this activity, the students are taught all the aspects of photography i.e. holding the camera, taking accurate photographs, developing and printing them. The students take the photographs of all the school functions ad competitions. Under the guidance of Mr. D. Sharma, the students click snaps on various festivals and events thus finding an opportunity to find expression to their creative talents.

Stain Glass Painting Stain Glass Painting

Beautiful paintings are made on glass sheets. First a glass is outlined and then a design is traced. After that special stain glass colours are filled in. The paintings are framed in many different ways. Some are framed with crushed silver foil in the background and some are framed without a background to give a transparent effect. This time the theme is the varied images of Lord Ganesha.

Western Music Western Music

This activity is mainly comprises of middle school children. Besides learning English songs the students are also trained in the finer concepts of western music. Besides participating in the inter school competitions and all important school functions the students in this activity have a special role to play during Christmas celebrations.

Yoga and Aerobics Yoga and Aerobics

This activity includes stretching excercises, body postures and balancing poses to make our body flexible. In yoga the students practice several yogasans like padmasana, bajrasana, ushtasana, gaumukhasana, which enrich the activity sessions. In the junior and middle sections this activity is managed by trained Yoga Teachers.
