Independence Day celebration

India, is the cradle of human race,

The birthplace of human speech,
The mother of history,
The grandmother of legends and the great grandmother of traditions.
Independence Day is an occasion to acknowledge the sacrifices made by our ancestors and the great leaders to make India shackle free. Make such celebration meaningful. Seth M.R Jaipuria school celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm. A large number of students and parents were present to celebrate the independence day. Even the rain could not dampen their feeling of patriotism. The chief guest for the occasion, Vice Chairperson, Mrs.Anjali Jaipuria , the school Principal, unfurled the tricolour, the symbol of freedom. The school pledged it’s devotion to its motherland, India. Thereafter, the exuberant Jaipurians marched the field, headed by the school head boy, Aniket Chauhan and the school head girl, Arushi Somani. The Jaipurian band added to the excitement and feeling of patriotism.
Mrs. Anjali Japuria gently reminded the audience that the soul of India – `is spirituality’. Ma’am Jaipuria said . ” each Indian was great connect to the Divine intrinsically and it is that force of spirituality which keeps the flame burning. This does not let the hope within fade away”. The Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, addressed the parents and the students. Ma’am Chopra reminded them about their   duties towards their country and said that we are the bearers of India’s future. Ma’am Chopra said, ” Determination and dedication alone can lead to a change, a growth and a new life”. The address by the Principal was followed by self composed poems and speeches written by students of the school.
The music department did not fail to mesmerise the gathering with their rhythmic symphony. The narration of Shri Aurobindo’s Dreams by the students made the audience feel the powers a man possess; knowledge and wisdom. The dance performances , based on the Kargil War, Save Girl Child, and dances from the North-East, by Navsrijan, won the hearts of the audience.
Unfortunately, the program had to be cut short because of sudden rainfall.
15th August, a great day!! Shri Aurobindo’s birthday, was an Indian philosopher, yogi, guru, poet, and nationalist. He joined the Indian movement for independence from the Britishers, for a while was one of its influential leaders and then became a spiritual reformer, introducing his visions on human progress and spiritual evolution.
Sri Aurobindo developed a method of spiritual practice he called Integral Yoga. The central theme of his vision was the evolution of human life into a life divine. To commemorate Shri Aurobindo’s Birthday, Seth M.R. Jaipuria has founded a temple on the school premises to achieve Shri Aurobindo’d dream of “India must be reborn, because her rebirths demanded by the future of the world”. A meditation session by teachers and students was organised in teh temple.
The event was concluded with the national song. Thus ended the 72nd Independence Day of Seth M.R Jaipuria school kindling the fire of patriotism in each and every soul. The celebration of Freedom should be to own our dream.
