Junior School Last Assembly 2017

All children start their school careers with sparkling imaginations, fertile minds, and a willingness to take risks with what they think.

The assembly at the end of the year portrayed just that and much more. The assembly was coordinated and conducted by students of class 4. The program began with the enchantment of  Sanskrit shlokas. The continuity of the rhythm of the moment was extended further with an array of melodious school songs. The choir and the songs were a performance that everyone enjoyed.Class 5 students reflected on what they did and learnt in the past year. The speeches, as rehearsed as they were, were reflective of the swift progress that the students had managed to create for themselves. Such finesse and projection of one’s expressions at such a tender age is nothing  but their initial sparkling imaginations and fertile minds accompanied by their willingness to push forward and achieve heights. To mark the achievements of the students in Boxing,Academics and 100% attendance in school certificates and medals were awarded.. Special felicitation was inferred upon students who had contributed hugely in interschool competitions, namely Convergence at Delhi Public School. The highlight of the assembly was the fusion dance performance –  a fusion of lyrical hip hop and classical dance forms performed by Pranansh Mukherjee and PalakBhandari of class 3. It was poetry in motion. To bring the festivities to a close,  a team of wonderful young dancers danced their hearts out on a peppy holi number, ‘Holiya meinude re gulal’.  The Principal’s address to the students followed all this merry making. Among loud cheer and a promise to work harder each day, the year came to a close and so did the assembly. The festivities ended but with a promise made that dreams are to be made and believed in. Signing off till the commencement of the next year, in Eleanor Roosevelt’s words, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
