It was a bright summer morning of 21st July, 2018 when the students of classes 2 to 5 got ready to celebrate the “MANGO DAY” at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School. MANGO DAY was filled with fun-filled learning opportunities. The aim of organizing the event was to impart all information about ‘the king of fruits’ by different methods. The teachers introduced a wide array of information about mangoes, their varieties, the mango producing belts in the country, and also interesting facts about mangoes.
These facts about mangoes were amazing to learn;
“More fresh mangoes are eaten around the world every day than any other fruit. They were first grown in India over 5,000 years ago. In fact, the paisley pattern which was first developed is based on the shape of a mango. It is the national fruit of India. It is grown from March to October and there are more than 100 varieties of mangoes in India”.
The students celebrated the day with joy and and had delicious, juicy mangoes. They shared and relished various varieties of mangoes they had brought packed cut mangoes in their lunch boxes.
A joyful day indeed!!
