La Martiniere College, Lucknow hosted the 4th session of annual La Martiniere College Model United Nations Conference on the 3rd,4rth&5th of November 2017. A Delegation of thirty-three students represented Seth M.R. Jaipuria School at the conference.
A Model United Nations Conference is an academically centred and intellectually enriching experience for each munner who grooms himself each time to become a better diplomat than he was before. Model United Nations Conference is a platform which provides an opportunity for the leaders of our generation to arrive at lasting solutions to the problems which our world faces, all in hope of a better future.
The La Martiniere College Model United Nations 2017 stimulated eight different committees with diverse agenda where our students presented their views on.It also conducted the Midnight Crisis in the Ad- Hoc committee of the Secretary General which was of a great new learning experience.The delegates delivered their best in deliberating over the issues and defending their countries. The national level conference gave us the position to debate with people from schools across the nation. The meaningful messages given by the keynote speakers throughout the conference were well received by the participants.
The Jaipurians carried forward their legacy of winning………….. Two of our delegates Nalin Mishra won the Best Delegate in United States House Select Committee dealing with issue of Gun Violence. Esha Gupta won the Special Mention in United Nations Office On Drugs And Crime dealing with the Criminal Justice Reforms.The efforts of others were well appreciated.It was a cherished learning experience for all the delegates where each one discovered a new self capable of deliberating and defending.
