Homage paid to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpaee Ji

Maut ki umar kya hai? Do pal bhi nahin, Zindagi silsila, aaj kal ki nahi

Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, held a special assembly on 18th August, 2018 to pay homage to our former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. A man of stature, a skilled orator and politician, a veteran parliamentarian, founding president of the BJP, Prime Minister of India and last but not the least a Bharat Ratna awardee. Atal Ji   served as the Prime Minister of India between 1996 and 2004 in three non-consecutive terms.

Nuclear tests, the Lahore Summit, Kargil War, Indian Airlines hijack, National Highways Development Programme were such commitments for Atal Ji that made India win praises from the world fraternity.

His weapon was the word, not the sword. Atalji worked for the nation. It didn’t matter for him whether someone was a Hindu or a Muslim, all communities had faith in him. “If India is not secular, then India is not India at all. We believe in equal respect for all faiths.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji was both tender and tough. It was his ability to stay true to his values and also speak to all sections of society that mesmerised so many.

A pall of gloom ascended over the India. Students, teachers, youth, old and young all gave a tearful adieu to this great man.Rich tributes were paid who was loved and respected by all – and had no enemies – his charisma was such. Students from Jaipuria school offered their respects to the departed soul and prayed for the peace of his soul. A two minute silence was observed by students and staff of the school.
“Hone, na hone ka karm, isee tarah chalta rahega,Hum hain, hum rahenge,
yeh bhram bhi sada,
palta rahega”.
