Vive La Jaipuria — Seth M.R Jaipuria excels at The Millennium School Model United Nations

It is believed that having a strong opinion and voice, putting your thoughts unto the world, and watching them manifest into solutions is an essential component of life, regardless of age. Seth M.R Jaipuria School hosts a staggering number of individuals who aspire to uphold this ideology, our MUNners. On 19th of August, 2018, another victory for this team as Seth M.R Jaipuria school emerged from the halls of The Millennium School, clutching the coveted Best Delegation trophy, awarded to them at The Millennium School Model United Nations conference held on the 17th, 18th and 19th of August, 2018.

After three days of intensive debate including discussing the roots of the world’s many problems, building solutions for these problems, adhering to world geopolitics and foreign policy, and upholding the principles of Model UN as a learning experience, our delegates emerged victorious individually too. They researched and collaborated on various issues, from the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in India to post- conflict rebuilding.

Jeevesh Saxena, who represented Mark Zuckerberg won a Best Delegate.

The High Commendations were awarded to Victory Yashasvi, Anupama Shanker, Sarthak Agarwal, Anushka Gupta, Shresth Bindal, Utkarsh Srivastava and Dhruv Singh.

The Special Mentions were awarded to Mehul Singh, Manas Sainath, Arnav Jaitley, Flora Dixit, Susmitha Jain, Sajal Chandra, Anika Singh, Rauhinetra, Bhumika Kaur, Shambhavi Maurya, and Samriddhi Yadav. The Verbal Commendations were awarded to Vishvesh Tiwari, Arushi, Anushka Paliwal, Anandita Rajnish, Aaditya Mehrotra, Aastha Singh, Yusra Basit, and Anushka Somvanshi, among others.

After succeeding at BVCMUN and DPSEMUN in August, it was another conquered quest by the Jaipurian team. However, apart from all these awards, these students learned something valuable from the conference, and that is what made the venture successful in its entirety. We believe there are many more of these to come.
