Bizathon 2019-20 Concludes

Day 2 of Bizathon began with the keynote speech of this event delivered by one of Seth M.R. Jaipuria’s most distinguished alumni Mr Rahul Singh who held an insightful and interactive session with the students. Rahul, who is also an IIM-Bangalore alumni and serves as a banker in Singapore, talked about the corporate reality that one has to consider before stepping out in the real world. He explained the significance of ‘conscious capitalism’ and encouraged students to build or associate with companies ‘who know what they are.’ He emphasized on the importance of Sanskrit and also talked about the values/ethos of Indian culture and its application in the business world.

The events of the second day began soon after the opening address and students performed at their very best in all the competitions. The first event of the day was ‘One Minute of the cuff’ where participants were given a minute to speak without hesitation or repeating a word and the result was determined based on their oratory skills. ‘Economics Montage’ had participants visually depict the economic issues on a soft board and were evaluated based on their understanding of these issues and its presentation. The school rock band added a sprightly vibe to the event and performed a successful gig. The most significant event of the day ‘Corporate Strategics,’ gave an opportunity to participants to establish a business in alignment with sustainable development goals. Innovation, intelligence and research done by the participants were all taken into consideration and it was delightful to witness the future generation come up with great ideas in order to be more responsible towards the society.

The prize distribution ceremony was held after the completion of all the events. The winners were awarded for their achievements and all the participants including the teachers from various schools were applauded for their participation and efforts. Lamartiniere Girls’ College won the Bizathon championship trophy while Study Hall was the first runner-up.

The school vice-principal Dr Anupam Vidyarthi presented a vote of thanks to acknowledge the efforts of everyone involved in the event and officially concluded a successful first edition of Dr Rajaram Jaipuria Bizathon.
