“And at the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and eyes sparkling.”- Shanti
It is important for children to break the monotony and do something different each day. It not only makes them better learners but also makes them happier and fulfilled. After a lot of humid days, today was cooler, windier and a great day to be out, closer to nature. Therefore the students of Seth M.R. Jaipuria Playgroup took their lunch-break outdoors. From eating inside the classrooms seated on a chair and table, our students loved eating their lunch out in the open field, sitting on mats with their feet folded. The teachers talked about the beautiful day with the students and encouraged them to observe their surroundings while they ate their lunch. They enjoyed looking at the clouds together, shared their food and laughed and giggled. Children are at their best when they are closer to nature, and they must be given every opportunity to be!
