Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow organised its 3rd edition of the Inter-School Yoga Competition on 24th October, 2019.

Seth M.R. Jaipuria School believes in the all round development of a child with spiritual connectivity of a child’s mind with the soul………… is what the Yoga teachers inculcate. Yoga teaching has been an integral part of our school curriculum for the last 20 years. The very heart of yoga practice is ‘abyhasa’- steady effort in the direction you want to go . This combination of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal consciousness was truly seen in the performance of the participantsThe competition was witness to perfect ‘asanas’ with all the energy and strength;a show of beauty to the body, mind with the soul. participants from 14 schools from the city, where yoga is a part of their academic curriculum, participated in the competition.The Principal, Mrs. Promini Chopra, said” our scriptures speak about three things about Yoga – trains you,makes you master your body and connect to the inner soul.The festival comprised various events including a group discussion on the topic-‘Yoga for Inner Peace’, a quiz to test the knowledge of the participants on the different aasanas and their relevance, scintillating rhythmic yoga through solo and group performances .The panel of judges consisted of well known names of the city. The audience were mesmerised by the enthralling performances by the flexible participants.
The event saw the participation of 14 schools showcasing their talent through bewitching yoga aasanas .Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word ‘yuj’ meaning connection or combination.This combination of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal consciousness was truly seen in the performance of the participants.
The overall Champion trophy was awarded to Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow. Since it is a practice followed by Jaipuria School, the host school does not take it, Study Hall were given the trophy..
Yoga is a flame, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.
