71st Republic Day Celebrations

“Our diversity and glorious past are the edifice on which a strong foundation is built.” –        Promini Chopra

On the occasion of the 71st Republic Day, students from Seth M.R. Jaipuria School came together for the ceremonial flag hoisting and parade. The fog and the early morning winter chill did not deter the students from coming out in the open and taking part in the days’ celebrations.

The day began with the flag being hoisted by Ali Mahmud  (Vice Head Boy) and Ananditaa Rajneesh (Vice Head Girl) followed by inspection of the parade by the Principal. Soon after, students from class 6 onwards participated in the Republic Day parade, saluting the honored guests.

The students listened with intent as the Principal, Promini Chopra Ma’am spoke about the rich history and heritage of our great nation and the role that children have to play in taking it to unscaled heights.

The enthusiastic gathering was also addressed by the Head Boy and Head Girl.

The day also witnessed a number of patriotic performances put up by the students. These included dance on popular songs like Chak De (Class 8), Teri Mitti (Class 9 & 11) and a dance on water conservation on the song ‘O Nadi’ (Class 6).
