Seth M.R Jaipuria school organized it’s 28thVarsha Mangal Utsav on the 8th of August, 2019. The school celebrates this festival every year to mark the arrival of the prosperous monsoon rains. After the hot and humid summers, the onset of the season marks the beginning of the showers that rejuvenate the parched earth and restore it. This indeed calls for a celebration!
Varsha Mangal Utsav the monsoon festival began with the presentation of a mesmerizing performance on the Raga Miyan Malhar, invoking the rain gods to shower their blessings upon us. The school choir rendered a melodious hindi song ‘Ghanan Ghanan’ from the film Lagaan followed by the English song ‘We are the World’.
To create awareness about the importance of water conservation, the students of Navsrijan presented the inspirational song ‘Sookh raha kal, bin jal na hai kal’.
When we look to the beauty of nature, we find that five elements provide the foundation for the entire physical world. Ayurveda recognizes five elements of nature –Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth—as the building blocks of all material existence. Two breathtaking dance performances on the five elements of nature and the song ‘Barso re Megha Megha’, enthralled all.
